When pfSense® CE is installed on the VP2410 with coreboot, the installation drive will typically be placed last in the list of boot devices. The instructions to download pfSense® CE and burn the image to a USB drive can be found at this link: This article assumes a new installation of an OS on a new or empty M.2 SATA module on a VP2410. This article describes the behavior of specific OS during installation and whether the Boot Order in the BIOS needs to be changed. There is a an overview article in the Knowledge Base about the VP2410 coreboot BIOS menu at: See the instructions below for specific OS. Therefore, some Operating System (OS) installations require manually editing the Boot Order in the BIOS after the OS is installed. Specifically, this version of coreboot does not support a pre-defined boot order. The coreboot UEFI BIOS menu is more extensive and has different behavior than coreboot on other Protectli Vaults. Not sure what happened still, as the AP was configured to get IP automatically assigned. The VP2410 is the first model of the new Protectli Vault Pro (VP) series. Update : Managed to connect again, after setting Manual IP address. The box has HDMI ports but connecting to them doesn't give input to the screen.I tried connecting my laptop directly to the protectli box (LAN ports), and again I get no IP assigned. There is a COM port on the front of the box, but I don't have a cable to connect to currently.Īnyone knows what happened, and what options I have ? At some point, not sure how, I did manage to connect to the AP, its IP was 192.168.50.1, and noticed the OPNSense box showed up briefly in the clients list, also being 192.168.50.1 (!!). to 192.168.50.1 saved and applied ( 192.168.50.1 was the old address of my AP when it was running as router), and I can no longer access the router in any way, and have no internet. I then changed the IP for Lan1 in OPNSense from 192.168.1.1. Connected ONT to WAN, WiFI AP (Asus RTAX58U) to Lan1, logged in and setup PPPoe, saved and applied, and I had internet, with my AP (being in AP mode) at 192.168.1.101 I got a new protectli box (FW4B) with OPNSense and coreboot.
